The Talbot Inn - Woking

Breakfast was good, though seemed a bit understaffed. Lovely location nice walk in the woods. Bath was good nice hot water.

Window was faulty and didn’t stay open room was too hot. I could hear everything going on on the next door room.

This is a hotel go-to for Woking! It has very attentive and thoughtful staff members despite shocking service at the evening meal: )

Friendly staff, quick to help with tea and milk. Room smelled odd on arrival.

Great size room with lounge chair, four poster bed, for example. Paid £ 140. Location just next door to more characterful pubs, restaurant and food, and Wisley gardens.

Stunning location, near Ripley Green.

Beautiful old building with modern ameneties(sic). Enjoyed the restaurant and it's garden views. The food was superb and the service exellent. What a nice change to have no background musjc ! We appreciated the security door code and the fan provided in the room . By the way there is a radiator stuck on hot on the first floor landing leading to room 212 !

Not really a complaint but - whilst in the restaurant one can hear continuous buzzing . I suspect it is an extractor fan from the kitchen maybe. It is slightly annoying .

Foul water problems persisted for too long!!! Upkeep needed in aged areas. Furniture felt dingy and outdated!!! Tight space in double room left little room for comfort!!!

The food was just wonderful and there were some lovely welcoming touches in the room.

The Hotel had a nice ambience, a mixture of old world pub and new comfortable rooms. If I am in the area again I will certainly use the hotel again and I have recommended it to one of my colleagues who stays in hotels in the area on occasion.

Just a solid selection for a weekend getaway in Woking with great value. I slept well on the comfortable twin beds. Book breakfast the day before to save some cash.

Nice atmosphere in pub and restaurant

We had a special deal for a Sunday night of £29.00. Everything relates to that. The rooms were spacious and provided all we needed. There were renovations going on Monday morning so no cooked breakfast - we are not big breakfast people so considered the alternatives quite suitable.

Very happy with everything about my stay but I think I have been charged 30 to much I. Have been told this is a pre auth but as of today 3 days later I have not been reinburst thanks

Due to a problem with our booking via Booked.net my sister and myself ended up with a double room instead of the twin room that was confirmed. We were prepared to cancel our booking but the manager gave us a single room and an double at the same price, which was very agreeable.

Cosy and friendly.
